Xometry Inc. has launched a mobile version of its workcenter platform.
It said the new mobile app will help suppliers manage production and job orders from their phones.
Xometry is a digital marketplace that connects buyers with custom manufacturers. Its workcenter mobile app extends the company’s 2022 workcenter platform, which serves as an all-in-one system for quoting, job management and payments.
Xometry unveils workcenter mobile app
The new app allows manufacturing partners to view and accept orders, track progress, update job status, and communicate with Xometry’s support teams directly from the shop floor.
“Workcenter Mobile lets suppliers stay connected to their operations wherever they are,” said Vaidy Raghavan, Xometry’s chief technology officer. “It gives them quick access to job information and helps them manage work more efficiently.”
The app includes job tracking, push notifications, and tools for uploading photos, signatures and updates. It also provides real-time alerts about new job opportunities through Xometry’s partner network.
Xometry operates an online marketplace for on-demand manufacturing, linking engineers and procurement teams with thousands of suppliers offering services such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and injection molding. The company said it designed the new mobile app to help smaller and midsize manufacturers save time and improve visibility in their operations.
