CL Yachts Just Entered the Multihull Market With a Sleek New 115-Foot Catamaran

CL Yachts is taking its lineup to new heights—or lengths, rather. 

The Hong Kong-based shipyard just unveiled a new catamaran that measures just over 118 feet, making it longer than the seven other models in the X, B, and A series that are currently on offer. The CLC115 is the first multihull from CL Yachts, marking a significant milestone for the relatively new builder.

Part of the new C-Series, the cat has an expansive three-deck layout that can accommodate up to 12 guests in style and comfort. The open-plan design creates flow inside and out, above and below. A spacious full-beam owner’s suite with a wardrobe, vanity, desk, and en suite occupies pride of place on the main deck, while four guest cabins with en suites are located on the mid deck. The crew quarters lie below, accommodating up to eight crew on the lower deck. 

The highly flexible layout can also be tweaked to meet different lifestyle needs or charter requirements. One additional guest stateroom on the main deck can be configured as a massage room, gym, or nursery, for instance. Similarly, the aft areas on all three decks can be arranged to the owner’s liking.

Designed by Supertomato Studio, the interiors offer “refined luxury” and a “resort-style atmosphere,” according to the yard. Long, flowing lines and a neutral palette create calm, tranquil vibes throughout, while expansive windows invite light in and offer views out. Multiple outdoor and indoor lounge areas provide ample space for relaxing or entertaining. Highlights include a lifting beach platform with fold-down bulwarks and a plush foredeck lounge with a spa pool.

The best part is that the CLC115 is a clean and efficient cruiser. Featuring naval architecture and exterior lines by Incat Crowther, the vessel showcases a lightweight composite hull designed for structural integrity and fuel efficiency. The yard says it was able to create the hull in a single attempt using a precise resin-infusion technique. 

The propulsion system was given a green twist, too: The yacht is powered by two MAN V-8 diesel engines with 1,300 hp, but is also equipped with an optional hybrid setup that enables quiet cruising with less emissions. Top speed is 18 knots, while cruising speed is 10 knots. 

To top it off, quite literally, the cat can be fitted with solar panels that generate energy at sea. It also incorporates intuitive smart home tech to improve the energy efficiency of lighting, air-conditioning, and other household systems.

“CLC115 seamlessly integrates sophisticated design with eco-friendly technology, setting a new benchmark for what responsible yachting signifies in today’s world,” CL Yachts director Martin Lo said in a statement. 

New heights, indeed.
