‘Mamma Mia’ Is Back on Broadway—This Hotel Can Get You Discounted Tickets and an ABBA-themed Stay

Dancing Queens rejoice: “Mamma Mia!” is back on Broadway—and there’s a secret way to score the best seats in the house at a discounted rate with a hotel stay.

As much as we’d all love to visit Kalokairi, the fictional Greek island from the movie, a trip to New York City might just be the next best thing. “Mamma Mia!” is on a six-month run until Feb. 1, 2026, and during that time, the Hyatt Regency Times Square is the official hotel partner of the show. The property, which is just one block away from the Winter Garden Theatre, recently debuted its Mamma Mia Experience, which makes you feel as if you’re staying at the Villa Donna itself—and it’s the perfect place to live out your musical dreams.

“When I was asked to create a concept for this room, I knew it had to capture the two beloved elements of ‘Mamma Mia!’: gorgeous Greek scenery and sparkling dance parties!” designer Krysta Rodriguez said in a press release obtained by Travel + Leisure.

Located on the 44th floor of the hotel, the ABBA memorabilia-filled room is inspired by the iconic sets of the Villa Donna and has stunning New York City views. It’s perfect for a girls’ night or glamorous staycation, and is decorated with costumes used by Miss Donna Sheridan herself (or Mrs. Donna Sheridan-Carmichael, for “Mamma Mia! 2 lovers). And here’s a little fun tip: if you say the words, “Make me a dancing queen,” sequined curtains will drop from the ceiling, and custom lighting will illuminate the space as a curated playlist starts. There’s an in-room Polaroid camera for guests to use, so you can capture the moment.

If you’re a theater fan, though, one of the best perks of the “Mamma Mia!” experience is that upon booking, you’ll be sent an email with a custom link that lets you get some of the best seats in the theater at a discounted rate. I went on the Mamma Mia Experience myself, and was blown away by how close I was to the stage—it was the cherry on top of an already fabulous day. And getting out of my seat to join in for the final number of “Waterloo” was the perfect way to end a Broadway-filled evening.
