Aesha Scott has provided a rare look at her role as a daughter.
Amid her preparations for BravoCon 2025, the Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew returned to Instagram to offer an inside look at her Australian getaway. The New Zealand native posted highlights from her brief but fun-filled time in Sydney, where she reconnected with friends, family, and her mom.

The November 4 carousel included a clip of Aesha’s mom arriving at the airport, gleefully greeting her daughter with luggage in tow. Aesha also posted a snap of her and her mother smiling outside the iconic Sydney Opera House and a photo of her mom catching some Zs at the hotel.
“Lovely quick little trip to Australia,” she captioned the post. “Look at the video of Mum arriving. And the picture of her smiling on the pillow. So nice to have some very overdue Mama Daughter time. Cup feeling very full! P.S. Sydney friends please don’t be mad I didn’t see anyone, I had very limited days so I slipped in and out.”

Aesha Scott opens up about her past family struggles
Aesha grew up with divorced parents in a family of six siblings. She shed more light on her upbringing during her 2023 appearance on Australia’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, revealing how her “people-pleaser” mentality stemmed from her mom’s past struggles with alcoholism.
“I felt like if I didn’t ease tension or make people feel good, then maybe mum would drink more,” she said. “Because she was drinking so much, and we were in such a s–t situation anyway, everyone around me would just feel sad, and I didn’t want them to feel sad.

“So much of my people-pleasing stems from growing up with an alcoholic mother,” she continued. “And my role in the family was to kind of be the clown, and I was always trying to make everyone happy so that we could ease the tension… It’s such a horrible disease and watching her struggle with it my whole life. I truly would not wish addiction on anyone.”
Aesha went on to say that she and her mother have since established a “wonderful relationship,” as her mom was nine years sober at the time.

In addition to the mother-daughter reunion, Aesha treated herself to a Blue Mountains getaway with a friend and reconnected with fellow Bravolebs/yachties Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron. Slide No. 11 showed Aesha posing alongside the couple and their baby boy, Kayden Cameron-Gallagher.
“So nice seeing you!” Nathan commented. “You’re the best.”
Aesha gushed over Nathan and Gael’s 4-month-old son in a recent interview with Decider.
“Yes, I’ve met Kayden. He is absolutely beautiful,” she said. “Oh my gosh, he’s such a sweet baby. They’ve done really well. And they’re such a beautiful couple. They’re so in love… They’re so committed to each other.”
