Kandi Burruss has called it quits with her husband, Todd Tucker.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum announced the shocking news on Friday, November 21, more than 11 years after she and Todd exchanged “I do’s.” Kandi did not provide details on what led to the split, but said she was now focused on “being the best mother” to her children.

“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce,” she said in a statement to People magazine. “This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”
She continued: “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s Relationship History and Family Life
The former Atlanta couple met back in 2011, when Todd was working as a producer for RHOA Season 4. The pair got engaged in 2013 and married the following year. Kandi and Todd entered the relationship with daughters from previous relationships; Kandi was mom to Riley Burruss and Todd was the father of Kaela Tucker.
They expanded their family in 2016, when Kandi gave birth to their son, Ace Wells Tucker. The Atlanta mom had experienced complications during that pregnancy, which is why she and Todd took the surrogacy route when they began planning for another baby. In 2019, the couple welcomed their second child together, a daughter named Blaze Tucker.

In addition to raising their family, Kandi and Todd have spent the past decade building a very successful business empire that included everything from feature films to stage productions to multiple restaurants.

Kandi thanked her husband for all his support at BravoCon 2025, where she received the highly coveted Wifetime Achievement Award.
“To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truths, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions,” she joked. “You earned this award, too.”
As of press time, Todd had not publicly responded to the filing.
