Monique Samuels revealed shocking new details about her divorce from Chris Samuels on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
Picking back up at Ashley Darby’s Pride parade pre-game, Season 10, Episode 8 opened with Keiarna Stewart claiming to Monique that Stacey Rusch was dating Chris. The supposed bombshell didn’t exactly faze Monique, though.
“We’ve been divorced almost two years,” Monique calmly responded. “I expect that he would date.”
She went on to explain in a confessional exactly why she was so unbothered that her ex-husband may or may not have been dating somebody new after she and the NFL vet ended their 11-year marriage in 2023.

“He’s my ex for a reason: I didn’t want him anymore,” the mother of three quipped to a producer. “So, I’m completely fine with whatever he does with his life, as long as she’s good with the children.”
Meanwhile, Stacey, who had just met Monique for the first time and insisted she only knew Chris “socially,” slammed Keiarna for being “so messy.”

Later during the same event, the group sat down for a more proper catch-up with Monique. Aptly pointing out that her “life was different” since they last saw her, Wendy Osefo, more specifically, asked Monique for “the update with Chris.” After all, as Wendy put it, they had a “solid relationship,” as far as she last knew.
“We had an image. We had a good image,” Monique replied. “I wasn’t being loved properly. I wish somebody would’ve told me whoever you marry, that person could actually get worse. The first time that I thought, ‘I can’t do this anymore,’ my daughter was six months old. She’s gonna be 10.”
Monique went on to reference a conversation she had with Gizelle Bryant during the RHOP Season 3 cast trip to France.
“You were talking about how when you’re with the man that has had the limelight and then you start stepping into your own and things become about you, that can cause tension,” she recalled.

That’s when Tia Glover chimed in to ask about “the straw that broke the camel’s back” in her marriage to Chris.
“It feels like whenever he wants something, he will be the nicest guy. And I’m like, ‘Yes! He’s back!'” Monique described. “And then he goes back to being who he was.”
Relating that concept to their sex life, she further detailed how, one night, she decided to “put this theory to the test.” Monique said that she, indeed, “felt like a piece of meat” afterward, and the experiment validated her presumption.
The next morning, Monique said she told Chris she was “done.”
“Now, looking back, y’all actually added years onto my marriage,” the Season 10 friend said, referencing her past RHOP castmates. “‘Cause I didn’t have to argue with him; I argued with y’all.”

While lunching with Gizelle, Ashley, and Tia afterward, Keiarna spilled that she’d received intel from Karen Huger’s friend Cherita “Cookie” Whiting that Stacey had immediately reported back to Chris that Monique “was trash-talking him” to the group.
“She explicitly told me that Stacey called Chris and told him that Monique was dogging him,” Keiarna added in a confessional.
So, Keiarna confronted Stacey later on at Gizelle’s party celebrating 10 million downloads for her and Robyn Dixon’s Reasonably Shady podcast. It just so happened that Cookie also attended the event.
Stacey, meanwhile, denied the accusation and insisted that she had no idea what Keiarna and Cookie were talking about. Even as the situation grew increasingly heated and Keiarna repeated the claim, Stacey doubled down on her denial.
“No matter how many times you say it, doesn’t mean that it’s true,” Stacey clapped back, as the two traded insults.
Before they could reach a resolution, however, RHOP‘s Nov. 23 episode ended with a “To be continued” graphic appearing on screen.
