Coupa Software has released an update to its total spend management platform that adds new agentic AI tools aimed at streamlining procurement and sourcing processes.
One new feature includes an AI tool that converts plain-language descriptions into cost and scoring formulas within Coupa sourcing optimization. Another feature helps users transform documents such as statements of work into standardized purchase requests.
The company said the release expands its Navi AI agents across the Source-to-Pay workflow to:
- Help reduce manual data entry.
- Assist with cost modeling.
- Manage supplier interactions more efficiently.

Coupa also introduced supplier-facing automation. A new assistance agent can respond to routine supplier inquiries. It designed an AI search tool to help buyers identify potential vendors using natural-language queries.
The company also enhanced its supplier workbench inside the Coupa supplier portal, giving procurement teams a consolidated view of supplier tasks.
Salvatore Lombardo, Coupa’s chief product and technology officer, said Coupa intends for the update to help procurement teams manage complex workflows.
“Procurement workflows must be fundamentally redesigned to thrive amidst market volatility,” he said in a statement. “We’re moving beyond simple automation to tackle the complexity of sourcing and supplier management with a new class of autonomous AI agents.”
The release also integrates technology from Coupa’s recent acquisition of Cirtuo. A new integration layer links category-strategy planning with sourcing execution inside the platform, eliminating the need for teams to manually connect plans across systems, the company said.
