Naples, on Florida‘s Gulf Coast, has been a nexus of big-ticket home sales this year. Back in April, a massive waterfront estate sold for a whopping $225 million, making it one of the most expensive properties ever sold in the Sunshine State, and now a nearby residence is hitting the market, albeit with a substantially lower but still sky-high price tag.
The $60 million abode in the Port Royal neighborhood, done up in a contemporary island tropical style and well suited to both large formal gatherings and casual family beach vacations, was designed by Kukk Architecture and built by the Williams Group. The coastal Mediterranean meets West Indies vibe feels right at home in South Florida, and the refined yet relaxed decor is similarly suited to the locale’s high-toned but low-key environment.

The two-story mansion sits along 363 feet of Cutlass Cove waterfront with a sunny southwest exposure. Those who enjoy taking to the open water will appreciate the boat lift and dock—the latter also serving as a prime perch from which to watch the sunset—but there’s also a massive pool with a clear aquarium-style wall at one end.

Formal living spaces are crowned by intricately detailed wood ceilings that add visual interest to the otherwise minimal setup. Arched doorways connect the rooms, framing the grand foyer and leading to more casual lounge areas. The kitchen is an all-white affair, offset by a striking blue range and a few dark-wood accents, while an outdoor kitchen is also at your disposal for grilling up alfresco meals.

The primary suite has more of a beach cottage feel, with patterned wood floors, a white wood ceiling, and a fireplace opposite the bed. Here, the bathroom sports white mosaic tiling around the soaking tub, plus more dark-wood cabinets for contrast. In total, there are six bedrooms, eight full baths, and five powder rooms, some of which are wrapped in brightly colored, tropical-print wallpaper for a dash of whimsy.
Other highlights include a tucked-away game room and a skylight-topped gym for fitness buffs. The 15,309-square-foot estate, listed with Richard Prebish of William Raveis Real Estate, also comes with membership eligibility at the nearby Port Royal Club and the Cutlass Cove Beach Club.
