New SUR hostess Angelica Jensen really made an entrance on Vanderpump Rules.
Just as boss Lisa Vanderpump was introducing her to her new co-workers at the annual SUR photo shoot during Season 12, Episode 3, Angelica tripped over the camera and lighting equipment and fell to the floor.
In an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, Angelica ranked the embarrassing moment from her Vanderpump Rules debut as one of the “craziest” things that happened to her all season.
“I couldn’t get my little leg to lift up because I was wearing a tight dress, my heel got caught, and I faceplanted,” she explained. “Lisa gave me the most gracious intro. She was like, ‘Everybody, this is Angelica,’ and I, like, splatted.”

As viewers saw in the episode, the cast erupted in applause when Angelica got back up, uninjured. In a confessional, she pointed out the silver lining of her gaffe.
“Maybe not my ideal first impression, but I feel like it really grounded me, in a way,” Angelica joked to a producer. “Maybe this worked in my favor, because now people are going to want to be nice to me, right? Like, who’s gonna want to be mean to the girl that just ate s–t?”

Angelica is the newest addition to SUR’s staff and “immediately makes waves within the group,” according to her official BravoTV.com bio, which also notes that she has her “sights on” modeling, acting, and friends Jason Cohen and Shayne Davis. “But a game of broken telephone threatens their possible connections.”

When Angelica reported for her first official hosting shift at SUR, she shared that she was no stranger to being “the new girl,” due, in part, to her upbringing.
“My dad was in the Navy, so I have been to 13 grade schools, three middle schools, and three high schools,” Angelica said. “I have a psychobiology degree from UCLA, which is technically neuroscience. I was a scholar, but I could not pay rent. So, then I started serving. I prioritized other hobbies, like boys.”
As she told LVP during her job interview, Angelica also practiced Taekwondo for 10 years and even earned a state championship title.

Angelica further revealed to The Daily Dish that she brought a decade-plus of restaurant industry experience to her new job at SUR.
“That’s the rite of passage in L.A. if you’re going to go into the entertainment industry,” she remarked. “I studied neuroscience at UCLA, but I realized quickly that wasn’t going to be a thing for me. Like, I kept fainting every time I drew blood. Then I was like, ‘Oh my God, but I can be on Grey’s Anatomy.'”
She continued, “Now, I do acting, I have my own clothing company, and I kind of just dip my feet into all of it.”

Elsewhere in Vanderpump Rules‘ Dec. 16 episode, Angelica revealed that she was “newly single.” After some instant mutual flirting between her and fellow SUR newbie Jason, she admitted that she hadn’t exactly made a clean break from her last relationship, however.
“So, I still live with my ex,” Angelica confessed to Jason during a pool day that she hosted to “get to know” her new co-workers. “This is actually the person that I wanted to marry and, like, have kids with, but they didn’t want to be with me anymore. Yeah, they kept saying, like, ‘We’re not compatible.'”
As she added in a confessional, “I love love, so I find myself in relationships pretty quickly. I move in after three months. … My red flag is that I’ll accidentally say I love you during sex.”
Regardless, Jason declared that he was attracted to Angelica and still wanted to “hang out” with her more, and she replied that she would “probably say yes” if he invited her to go somewhere.
