Stord will invest more than $40 million over the next five to 10 years to expand its fulfillment operations in Hebron, Kentucky.
It expects the project to create more than 500 jobs and significantly increase the company’s largest distribution footprint. The Atlanta-based ecommerce fulfillment and logistics company said the investment, made in partnership with the commonwealth of Kentucky, will include the modernization of an existing warehouse and the construction of a new 525,000-square-foot Class A facility in Boone County.
Once completed, the expansion will bring Stord’s total footprint in Hebron to more than 1 million square feet.
The company said it will direct capital spending toward:
- Warehouse automation.
- The deployment of its proprietary warehouse and transportation management systems.
- The hiring and training of more than 500 employees.
Stord said the new roles align with its internal career-development initiative, which it calls “Growing at Stord.”

The new building will include 49 dock doors, 8,772 square feet of second-floor space and value-added services such as kitting and embroidery. The site is adjacent to Stord’s existing Hebron facility and is located near Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and major highway corridors, including I-275 and I-75/71.
Stord entered the Hebron market in 2024 through its acquisition of Pitney Bowes’ ecommerce fulfillment business, which included a 520,000-square-foot facility. The company said the transaction retained more than 300 employees and was followed by the addition of approximately 300 contractors to support increased demand. During the 2024 Black Friday–Cyber Monday period, Stord reported 105% year-over-year order growth at the Hebron operation.
Since the acquisition, Stord said the Hebron facility has become a central node in its fulfillment network, supporting brands across the U.S. and contributing to what the company described as more than $10 billion in annual gross merchandise value managed across its network.
Sean Henry, Stord’s chief executive officer and co-founder, said the expansion builds on the company’s existing presence in Hebron and reflects sustained demand from ecommerce and omnichannel brands.
Stord said the Kentucky investment follows a series of growth initiatives in 2025, including a $200 million funding round and the acquisitions of Penny Black and Ware2Go from UPS. The company also said it has added more than 50 roles focused on advancing artificial-intelligence capabilities ahead of its 2026 product roadmap.
Stord provides fulfillment, warehousing, transportation and order-management software for direct-to-consumer and B2B brands. The company is headquartered in Atlanta and operates facilities across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
