Dr. Heavenly Kimes is still reeling from her falling out with son Damon Kimes Jr. on Married to Medicine.

The topic arose during newbie Brandi Milton’s birthday dinner on Season 12, Episode 4, when Heavenly opened up to Dr. Simone Whitmore about why she wasn’t exactly in a celebratory mood.

“I forced my boy out,” Dr. Heavenly explained. “He left. I don’t even know where the f–k he is.”

The Atlanta-area dentist had previously shared on Married to Med that 28-year-old Damon Jr. left home after she confronted him about his 2023 arrest that he’d kept secret from her (more on that below).

“I come off the wrong way, obviously, ’cause when I tried to voice my opinion to my boys, I’m cursing [their] asses out — loudly,” the mother of three tearfully added. “He never disrespected me. He got his s–t, and he left.”

Dr. Simone, meanwhile, said she understood where her friend was coming from, given her own recent family drama, and assured her that she would “find” Damon Jr. soon. “We created the monster,” she told Heavenly. “You can’t be mad at the monster.”

In a confessional, Simone admitted that she’d had “not ever seen Heavenly like this before,” however.

“She does not want to be vulnerable,” Simone elaborated. “She wants to appear like she got her s–t together. And, I mean, we would all like to appear like we have our s–t together, but the reality is s–t happens, and you can’t have it all together.”

Why was Damon Kimes Jr. arrested?

Dr. Heavenly’s son Damon Jr. was arrested in February 2023 for “aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer,” according to court documents shown during Episode 2. The legal filing further stated that Damon Jr. had been charged after allegedly “driving his vehicle toward” a public safety officer employed by Georgia State University Police Department.

Also during the second episode of Married to Medicine Season 12, Dr. Heavenly revealed that she learned that Damon Jr. had been arrested via social media — “years later” — amid her run for Georgia State Representative.

“When I first found out the news about Damon Jr. on Twitter, my heart dropped,” Dr. Heavenly told a producer. “Y’all don’t know the feeling that it would take to see your son being arrested. My son, I love him so much.”

While discussing the incident with her husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, Heavenly accused him of helping their son keep the arrest a “secret” from her, which he denied doing. “Why did he leave? Was it something I did, Damon?” she asked her spouse. “He won’t come see us. Why is that?”

Then, she offered more details on the argument that culminated with Damon Jr. packing his bags and leaving the family home.

“When I heard the news, I probably got too angry with my son,” Dr. Heavenly admitted in a confessional. “I don’t remember what I said. It was probably a lot of cussing; a lot of profanity was there. He just got his stuff together, and he left the house, and I have physically not seen him in months.”

She also asked Dr. Damon, “Can you make him come home and see his mommy?”

As he replied, however, “No, I can’t; only God can. I don’t know why he feels the way he does, but I’m going to respect it. And when he does come back, I’ll be there and ready to hug him.”

She further remarked to her husband, “I miss him so much, Damon. He’s my sweetheart.”

While she continues to remain hopeful for a reconciliation on Married to Med, find out how Dr. Heavenly celebrated Damon Jr.’s recent birthday on Instagram.
