Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) has appointed Emily Xu as chief digital and information officer, effective March 7.

Xu, previously senior vice president of ecommerce and marketing, will oversee the company’s digital transformation, technology operations, and data strategies.
Xu has been a key figure in RNDC’s digital expansion, leading the development of the eRNDC platform, which generated $1 billion in revenue in 2024. She has also spearheaded initiatives incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide real-time customer insights and improve sales strategies.
“Emily’s leadership in ecommerce and digital innovation has been instrumental in RNDC’s growth,” said Bob Hendrickson, CEO and president of RNDC. “Her expertise will be essential as we continue to enhance our digital capabilities and optimize operations.”

In her new role, Xu will focus on advancing automation in supply chain management, modernizing the company’s technology infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, and integrating data analytics to drive business decisions. She will also lead efforts to cultivate a technology-driven workforce.
Before joining RNDC, Xu held executive roles at Crate & Barrel, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, and Sears Corporation, where she led digital strategy and omnichannel sales growth. Earlier in her career, she worked in research and development at AT&T/Bell Labs.
Xu holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an M.S. in computer science from the University of Illinois, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University.
