Multiple sources reported today that Tesla has recalled 46,000 examples of the Cybertruck as an exterior trim panel may detach during operation. Given the Cybertruck’s stainless steel construction, a detached panel may cause a serious hazard to other motorists and pedestrians.
According to CNBC, “The recall covers just over 46,000 vehicles built from November 2023 through Feb. 27 of this year, Tesla said in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.”
We’ll update this developing story as more information becomes available.
