For Ian and Serge Krawiecki Gazes, collecting art isn’t just a passion—it’s a way of life. The esteemed New York attorney, Ian, and his husband, Serge, have long been fixtures in the art world, counting icons like the late Keith Haring among their friends. Now, after years of curating both their collection and their Miami home, the couple has hoisted their striking Coral Gables residence on the market for $16.7 million, a notable reduction from its original $19.5 million asking price in 2024.
“With our youngest daughter heading off to college, we’re embracing a new chapter as empty nesters,” Ian tells Robb Report. “It’s the perfect time to right-size, and we look forward to another family experiencing the same joy and memories this incredible home has given us.”

Designed by architect Alberto Cordovez, the modernist home is a study in understated elegance. Located in the exclusive Ponce Davis neighborhood, the property spans over an acre and offers more than 12,000 square feet of meticulously designed and air-conditioned living space. Warm wood paneling and cool limestone floors set the tone, while a sleek, chef’s kitchen fitted with Wolf appliances and a 200-bottle wine cellar caters to both culinary and oenophilic pursuits. Outside, a 40-foot-long infinity pool beckons, while a fully equipped gym and three-car garage (with space for lifts) add to the home’s amenities.
Though the residence itself is remarkable, it’s the Krawiecki Gazes’ history as collectors that lends an extra layer of intrigue. Their journey began in 1980s New York, when they immersed themselves in the city’s electrifying art scene. Starting with a Haring print from his ‘Fertility’ series, their collection has since grown into a rich tapestry of cultural narratives. While their personal treasures won’t be included in the sale, the home’s soaring walls and carefully curated design make it an ideal space for any serious collector looking to showcase their own pieces.
The couple’s collection is on display throughout, however, the works are not included in the sale.

“We built this home as our dream retreat, carefully curating every detail and amenity to create an extraordinary living experience. The result surpassed our expectations,” says Ian.
Ponce Davis, an affluent enclave neighboring Coral Gables, has seen a sharp rise in home values in recent years, with Miami-Dade’s median sale price climbing to $540,000 as of late 2024, Realtor.com reported. With its pedigree of art, architecture, and exclusivity, this property offers a rare chance to own a residence with a story—one written by collectors who have spent a lifetime shaping their own visual legacy.
