Chrysler has recalled just eight units of its 2025 Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) minivan because loose front brake calipers can lead to braking and steering problems.
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that some Pacifica hybrids “may have been produced with insufficient bolt torque on the front brake caliper bracket.”
That can cause several problems, including “reduced steering control, brake fluid leakage, diminished front braking performance, which can increase the risk of injury to occupants of the vehicle in certain crashes.”
The company knows of at least one warranty claim but no accidents or injuries related to the problem.
Dealers will inspect the calipers and replace them if necessary to fix the problem.
