Kyle Richards just experienced a “scary” incident involving her youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, during a college tour in Texas.
The incident took place as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, have been busy touring colleges with their 17-year-old kid. Kyle recounted what happened to Portia during an Amazon Live stream on April 8.
“Someone bumped into her and she hit her head on a table and we ended up in the emergency room. And it was really scary,” she explained. “They said she hit her head in the most dangerous place you can, which is in the back. They had to check for internal bleeding and a skull fracture, and she ended up having a concussion,n and it was really scary.”
Portia is, thankfully, doing OK now. “I was just thinking, ‘My God, parenting is just really hard sometimes.’ That really threw me,” she recalled. “I just had to disassociate for a minute and be like, ‘It’s fine. This is not a big deal. It’s going to be OK.’ But she’s fine now, guys.”

Kyle and Mauricio have been hard at work, searching for the perfect university for their youngest daughter. Kyle, who was recently in Europe, revealed that Mauricio had taken Portia to look at the University of Miami (which Kyle previously said was Portia’s dream school). When she came back from Europe, she met Portia in Texas. “And we were, for a few days in Texas, looking at schools,” she admitted during the live stream.
Although Portia is a little unclear about where she wants to go to school, Kyle confirmed that she likely doesn’t want to follow in Mauricio and her older sisters’ footsteps and go into real estate. “She’s her own kid,” she added.

During a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Kyle revealed that Portia wants her whole entire family involved when it comes time to picking out a school for her to attend for the next four years.
“Portia has changed her mind a couple times, but we will be touring different schools. Allegedly, she wants her dad, her mom, and her three sisters to all come look at these schools so we can make this decision together,” she explained. “And I’m like, ‘Well…I don’t know if that’s how it’s normally done. But hey, I guess we’re not normal.'”
