In a flurry of filings on Wednesday, Houston-founded trial firm Susman Godfrey seeks a summary judgment in a federal lawsuit it filed against the Trump administration, alleging an executive order against the firm is unconstitutional, while the administration filed a motion to dismiss.
Susman Godfrey is one of four firms that have sued the Trump administration after being hit by an executive order signed by President Donald Trump that suggests wrongdoing on the part of the firm and imposes penalties that would harm its ability to do business. The other firms are Perkins Coie, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, and Jenner & Block.
