The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 3-row electric SUV will not be the most expensive item on the Hyundai sales lot, but only because the high-performance Ioniq 5 N exists.

Hyundai’s big family-hauling electric vehicle (EV) will start at $60,555, including a mandatory $1,600 destination fee, the company has announced. But, built in Georgia, Hyundai says it will qualify for the federal government’s $7,500 EV tax credit.

The Ioniq 9 is a midsize SUV with an eye-catching design that melds abrupt curves with pixelated lighting for a shape that almost recalls old-fashioned depictions of future robots. We see as much Iron Giant as SUV in the look.

Inside, a flat floor with no central transmission tunnel and an unusually upright dashboard contribute to an open, airy feeling.

It will have a driving range between 311 and 335 miles, depending on trim level, and power levels from 215 horsepower to 422.

Hyundai includes the choice of a home charger or a $400 public charging credit with each purchase. But buyers (or lessees) must pay to install the home charger themselves.

All prices include a mandatory $1,600 destination fee.
