Scheana Shay is in a very good place with her ex-husband, Mike Shay, today. The Vanderpump Rules alum is in a loving relationship with her husband, Brock Davies, but she still remains on good terms with her musician ex.
During a Jan. 31 episode of her podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay, Scheana revealed that she met up with her ex, ahead of announcing that she wrote a memoir, My Good Side, which is coming out this summer. Because it is a book about her life, she will be talking about their relationship, so she wanted to give him a heads up.
“We went and got lunch last week,” she said. “I wanted to tell him about it in person. I didn’t want him to find out about it online. I was very honest. I told him that I do speak about our relationship. And he was like, ‘You know what? It’s your book. I don’t care. It’s your story.’ And he was genuinely happy for me. He’s known me since I was 15 years old. And he knew that this is always something I wanted to do. So he was very happy.”
Scheana also teased the potential for them to meet up again, in the future, after she gives him an advanced copy of the book. “Who knows? Maybe one day we’ll be sitting in this room discussing it together,” she said. “We’ll see.”

Although Mike appeared on early seasons of VPR, he keeps a very low profile these days. His Instagram profile is private, so longtime VPR viewers will have to take Scheana’s word for how he is doing.

In a 2024 interview with BravoTV.com, Scheana revealed that she tries to keep in touch with her ex-husband, but her relationship with Brock has changed things. “I usually text him every year on his birthday,” she said.
“I think when I got into my relationship with Brock and then he saw, you know, I now have a child, he’s respected that boundary,” she continued. “And he doesn’t really reach out, but I still do check in and just make sure he’s doing OK. I mean, he’s someone I’ve known since I was 15.”
