Many automakers quickly shuffled their lineups to be among the first to market with electric vehicles. Not Honda. The automaker, which enjoys a strong legacy of hybrid vehicles, moved carefully and deliberately before bringing its first electric vehicle (EV) to the American market last year. Now, as it often does, it’s made improvements to the 2025 Honda Prologue.

The Prologue is a midsize SUV. With plenty of interior space for people and things and attractive exterior styling, it looks like it’s pulled straight from the company’s vehicle development playbook. Actually, the new EV is born out of a collaboration with General Motors. However, it will be the only pairing coming from the linkup as GM decided to exit.

As is the case with so many EVs, Prologue drivers enjoy an instantaneous jolt of power, but where the SUV really shines is inside the spacious and airy cabin. Let’s check out the interior of the new Honda Prologue.

    Passenger Room and Comfort

The Prologue is a 2-row SUV with room for five passengers. In some cases, that means there’s a little bit of room; however, the rear passengers can recline in the new Honda, so it appears that making people comfortable is at the top of the design list for the SUV.

The interior is simple and uncluttered. With no transmission tunnel running down the middle of the cabin, you get a lot of options for storage or people space. By placing the gear shifter on the steering column, there’s plenty of storage space in the center console, including two beverage holders that can each hold a 32-ounce bottle.

Those reclining rear seats also fold down, providing drivers with 57.7 cubic feet of cargo space, putting it on par with the Chevrolet Blazer EV interior, which makes sense given they share underpinnings.

    Features and Tech

Some EVs are tech-heavy, offering only haptic response touchscreens to handle a variety of functions. Fortunately, Honda designed the Prologue with families in mind. Thus, the electronics feature buttons and switches.

The Prologue comes with a Google-based infotainment system that offers access to apps like Google Maps, a voice-activated Google Assistant, and over-the-air updates. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto phone integration is also standard.

Every new Prologue electric SUV has an 11-inch digital driver information display and an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. The top Elite trim adds a head-up display.

    Materials and Design

The Prologue has available leather-trimmed seats, including heated and ventilated front seats. While rear-seat passengers won’t enjoy having their backsides heated or cooled depending on the weather, they can be assured that they’ll be able to quickly and easily charge their smartphones or other devices courtesy of two USB-C charging ports as well as a 110-volt power outlet.

Not only does the EV have plenty of space, but a panoramic moonroof is available on the Touring and Elite models to ensure the cabin remains light and open. The end result is a premium, upscale feel without the big-money price tag.
