School might be out for the summer, but the BHG editors have been doing their homework. As experts on all things home, garden, and food, we’re always on the lookout for the next hot trends, and this season’s definitely don’t disappoint. Each month, our team compiles a list of the latest products, ideas, and trends we’re most excited about—and we think you will be too.

We’ve officially named the Spa Spritz the official drink of summer 2025, and you’ll find us sipping one alongside a tablescape of colorful dishware at an outdoor garden party. We’re also crushing on fresh prints and renter-friendly decor solutions from some of our favorite home brands. Read on for inspiration from our editors.

    Foodie Faves

“I am drawn to any type of fun print that incorporates food and I can’t get enough of these from Calhoun & Co. The colors are vibrant and the prints are whimsical, yet classy.”

    5-Minute Lighting Fix

You know those boring domed overhead lights that probably came with your house or apartment? The ones with a certain shape and a rather, ahem, colorful nickname? Well, now you can cover them up without an electrician or even a second pair of hands. Tulip Shades offers an instant-style, renter-friendly makeover that takes about 5 minutes to install. Shades are available in two shapes and 17 fabrics, and fasten around your existing lights for an easy upgrade.

The Drink of Summer: Spa Spritz

Summer is the best time for a spritz, and this take on the classic swaps in Lillet Blanc, cucumber, and fresh herbs like mint and basil. The result is a light and refreshing cocktail that’s perfect for sipping on the hottest days of summer.

    Summer Servingware

I’m obsessed with everything from the lifestyle brand In The Round House, but I’ve been specifically loving the Italian seafood collection and the green scalloped serving trays.

    The Martini Bathroom

Espresso, French, or extra dirty—martinis are having a major moment right now. But this classic cocktail isn’t just limited to behind the bar. Martini-theme decor is on the rise, and we can’t stop obsessing over this bathroom—complete with olive print wallpaper—by creator and cookbook author Elizabeth Van Lierde.

    Digging Into Garden Books

With garden season in full swing, we’re finding fresh inspiration in this new book. Roses in the Garden by Ngoc Minh Ngo features stunning photos world-famous rose gardens, plus intriguing history behind the beloved flower.

    Iconic Dishware

Colorful, stackable, durable, and instantly recognizable—these humble dishes from the 1960s have major staying power. You’ve probably seen it in vintage shops or in your cool aunt’s kitchen, or at major modern retailers. This stackable melamine dishware was introduced in 1964 and won its Italian creators—husband-and-wife team Lella and Massimo Vignelli—the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award for industrial design. But the pieces fell out of product by the end of the ‘60s, and that’s where the Heller name comes in. Designer Alan Heller spotted the dishes in an exhibit and tracked down the Vignellis to reintroduce the line as the first product from his new company. Now commonly known as Hellerware, it’s been a mod staple ever since.

    Stove-Popped Snacks

Who doesn’t love old-fashioned stove-popped popcorn? Iowa-based Cheerie Lane has come up with a clever way to package heirloom kernels and cacao butter in a cute cob-shaped pod that takes the guesswork out of the stove-top method. Just drop the pod into a pot, cover with a lid, and let it pop. They offer various flavors, and there’s a popcorn-of-the-month club too!
