The Real Housewives of Miami‘s Larsa Pippen says she “would do almost anything to make sure that my kids were happy” — including some “investing” in their futures.
In the above preview clip for RHOM Season 7, Episode 2 (set to air June 18), for example, Larsa recalls a time her now-22-year-old son, Preston, forgot his Spanish textbook at school.
“He was like, ‘My teacher’s gonna be so upset I’m not gonna do my homework,'” she tells a producer in a confessional. “I got in my Ferrari, drove 100 miles an hour. I literally had to pay a janitor to let me in.”
Larsa’s motherly mission was a success: “I got his book, I brought it to him, and we went home, and he did his homework.”
As for how much she paid the janitor, Larsa, who also shares Scotty Jr., 24, Justin, 19, and Sophia,16, with ex-husband and NBA legend Scottie Pippen, spills, “I think it was like 50 bucks,” adding, “I’m investing in my kids, so the fruits of their labor need to come back and take care of me someday.”
Inside Larsa Pippen’s son Preston’s modeling career
Regardless of whether or not that educational investment pays dividends, Preston is already well on his way to making his own money, thanks to another assist from his famous mom.
Elsewhere in the RHOM sneak peek, Larsa jets off to Italy to help Preston prepare to walk the runway in designer Philipp Plein’s Milan Fashion Week show — something the recent Loyola Marymount University graduate had yet to do in his fledgling modeling career.
The fashion designer talks Preston through his role, hyping up that “all eyes” will be on him. He also tells the RHOM ‘Wife that she makes “beautiful kids” and that he’s “excited for” her son to walk in his show. However, he playfully cautions that he’ll blame Larsa if Preston is “going to f–k it up,” because hiring him was her idea, after all.
“He’s so excited,” Larsa replies, promising, “He’s not going to f–k up.”
Updates on Larsa Pippen’s children and co-parenting with Scottie Pippen
In addition to Preston recently earning his business degree and pursuing modeling, Larsa and Scottie’s other kids are also working toward high-profile careers: Scotty Jr. is already playing in the NBA as a guard for the Memphis Grizzlies; Justin committed to play college basketball for the University of California, Berkeley; and Sophia (aka “mini Larsa”) has been acting, dancing, and modeling since childhood.
“I want my kids to do the things that make them feel good,” Larsa explained to The Daily Dish in 2023. “I feel like if they’re comfortable doing whatever passion or whatever they want to pursue, I feel like I’m excited to help.”
It also helps that she and Scottie, who split in 2018 after 21 years together, are on the same page when it comes to raising their four children.
“I feel like Scottie and I parent the same way. We’re both pretty disciplined with our kids. We’re both pretty traditional in the way we talk to our kids and treat our kids. So, I feel like we’re both the same when it comes down to parenting our kids. So, we do get along as far as that,” she added in the exclusive 2023 chat. “I kind of feel like we’re both pretty understanding with our kids, and we both have the same parenting goals for our kids. So, I think it, like, works for our family.”
