- Chevrolet has canceled the only rear-wheel-drive version of its Blazer EV for 2026
- Front- and all-wheel-drive versions are still available
The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer electric vehicle (EV) is a lineup by itself. It’s one of the few vehicles in automotive history offered in front-wheel drive (FWD), rear-wheel drive (RWD), or all-wheel drive (AWD).
For 2026, the rear-drive model is going away.
Car and Driver had the news first, noting that the RWD RS trim level had disappeared from a GM fleet ordering guide.
Chevrolet later confirmed it: “In an effort to simplify the product lineup while still offering the most popular options for consumers, RWD will not be available beginning with the 2026 model year. The Chevrolet Blazer EV is now available in FWD, AWD, and performance AWD in the new SS trim.”
The company has not announced pricing for 2026. The 2025 models in showrooms today start at $46,095.

The RS trim – a sporty-looking version less potent than the track-ready SS, will still be available in 2026. But it will come only in FWD and AWD form.
