eBay advised US sellers on Friday to cancel orders from Israeli buyers, and it said it had suspended eBay International Shipping (eIS) service to Israel and Iraq two days prior, on June 18, 2025.

eBay said most major US shipping carriers were experiencing disruptions in service into the country and said Israel Post had declared a state of emergency. It provided the following information for sellers who recently received or shipped orders to Israel:

If you have received an order for an item and have not yet shipped it, we recommend refunding the buyer and canceling the transaction (use the “Buyer Address Issue” reason.)

If you have recently shipped an order to Israel, you may be concerned about shipping delays. eBay will automatically protect your seller performance, including:

    • Your late shipment rate
    • “Item not received” (INR)cases due to late delivery as long as you uploaded tracking before the case was opened, and have a physical scan from the carrier
    • Service metrics for open item not received cases
    • Removal of negative and natural feedback due to INR
    • Out of stock cancellations

If you have recently shipped an item using eBay International Shipping, you are automatically protected once we receive your item at our domestic shipping hub.

The USPS is also suspending acceptance of mail to Israel, Iraq, and Iran as of today, June 20th, as we reported on Wednesday. According to a notice on the USPS website, “The Postal Service™ has temporarily suspended international mail acceptance to Israel due to the foreign post not accepting mail,” with similar notices for Iraq and Iran.

USPS said it would return items already deposited and noted that customers are entitled to a full refund of their postage costs when service to the country of destination is suspended.

However, UK’s Royal Mail, which also suspended service to Israel as of June 20, noted: “Any items already in the pipeline will be held by Royal Mail until service resumes and we will continue to provide further updates as we receive them.”
