Ford has recalled 2,272 Bronco SUVs from the 2025 model year because their passenger-side airbags may not function as designed.
Today’s airbags are designed to inflate in a split second, then deflate through vents as a passenger impacts the airbag. That helps cushion the body during a crash.
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a vent in the airbags may not open as intended. That can leave the airbag too rigid, potentially contributing to injuries.
Dealers will replace the airbags to correct the issue.
