Amazon Business is expanding its presence in B2B ecommerce with a new agreement to serve as the primary purchasing platform for Mathnasium, the math tutoring franchise with more than 1,000 U.S. centers.

Under the partnership, Mathnasium locations will procure classroom and operational supplies—such as toner, paper, and student incentives—through Amazon Business’s centralized platform. The move aims to streamline purchasing, reduce administrative tasks, and give centers access to bulk pricing, wide product selection, and digital spend management tools.

“Mathnasium is using e-commerce to unlock operating efficiency at scale,” said Brenda Spoonemore, vice president at Amazon Business. “With Amazon Business, they can simplify procurement and redirect time and energy toward student outcomes.”

The deal underscores Amazon Business’s growing reach into industries historically served by traditional distributors. Since launching in 2015, the B2B platform has added more than 8 million customers globally, including 96 of the Fortune 100—and reported $35 billion in annualized gross sales in 2023.

Mathnasium said the platform’s simplicity and logistics capabilities will help local centers operate more efficiently.

“Confidence in the classroom starts with confidence behind the scenes,” said Aimee Mack, regional vice president for new center openings at Mathnasium. “Amazon Business gives our centers an easy way to get what they need, when they need it.”

The agreement reflects Amazon Business’s broader strategy to target decentralized organizations where convenience, control, and digital transparency are critical—and where traditional distributors may struggle to compete on speed or user experience.
