Kim Zolciak admits she’s “not a very good cook,” but her daughter Ariana Biermann begs to differ.

    How to Watch

Watch Next Gen NYC on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock.

The Next Gen NYC cast member took to Instagram last week to highlight some of her favorite dishes from Kim’s kitchen. Ariana began by posting a photo of seasoned boneless chicken presented on white dinnerware.

Ariana Biermann applauds Kim Zolciak’s “amazing” cooking

“My mom makes a few things that are UNREAL,” she captioned the snap. “Chicken is one of them.”

Kim reshared Ariana’s compliment in her Instagram Stories, adding a series of heart-eye emojis. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum also reposted Ariana’s gushing Story about her “garbage cookies,” a popular dessert that typically uses a mix of sweet and savory leftover ingredients.

“I know this looks suspect LMAO,” Ariana captioned a photo of the treats, “but this is one of the other amazing things she makes. Garbage cookies.”

Judging by the photo, Kim’s garbage cookie recipe is anchored by oatmeal and chocolate, something similar to a no-bake granola cookie.

Kim Zolciak explains why she let Kroy Biermann handle family meals

Kim spoke about her kitchen skills in a 2018 Snapchat video shared by People magazine. The mother of six uploaded a clip of her now-estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, looking “hot AF” as he prepared a family dinner. Kim revealed that Kroy typically handled the household cooking because he was simply better at it.

“My hubby is cooking up our dinner tonight like he does almost every night,” she said as Kroy whipped up baked chicken with fat-free dressing. “I’m not a very good cook — only Italian dishes, which Kroy’s not a very big fan of Italian food.”

Kim touched on Kroy’s homemaking and handyman skills in a 2017 interview with The Daily Dish, saying she would like for her hubby to be a full-time “stay-at-home dad.”

“He definitely enjoys being home, but he loves football. That’s where his heart is,” Kim said about the retired NFL player. “We’ll see what happens. The guy can do anything, seriously. He can sew, he can cook, he can make a wig. He can do anything, I’m serious. If the toilet’s broke, if my nail breaks, if Ariana’s bracket on her braces is popping out, he can do anything. I don’t think it’ll be very difficult for him to find his other niche or what have you.”

Ariana Biermann opens up about her parents’ years-long divorce

Kim and Kroy announced their marital split in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage. The two briefly reconciled several months later, only to refile for divorce in August 2023. Since then, the two have sold their Georgia mansion for $2.75 million and remain locked in a legal battle.

Ariana addressed her parents’ divorce in an April interview with Us Weekly, saying the drawn-out court drama has taken a heavy toll on her family.

“I think it gets hard sometimes. It’s been a really long divorce,” she said. “[It’s been] two and a half f***ing years, and it’s still not even almost done.”

Ariana went on to describe Kim as her “best friend in the world,” and was optimistic about her mom’s future.

“I hope that she just continues to thrive,” Ariana said. “She’s been with my stepdad for 13 [or] 14 years now, and I’m just excited for her to just be a mom. I tell her, ‘It’s your first time in this world too, so I’ll be your mom sometimes when you need it.’”

Find out what Ariana had to say about her and Kim’s financial situation.
