Historic sites dating back to the Revolutionary War and a bevy of green spaces aren’t the only thing that’s attracted stars like Robert Redford to Massachusetts’s affluent town of Weston. A timeless 1920s estate in the community designed by architect Eric Kibbon and later renovated by New York-based architect Peter Pennoyer is one of its grand residences now up for grabs at $34 million. Amy Mizner of Mizner + Montero at Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty – Weston holds the listing sprawled out in proximity to a golf club.
Anchored by a massive English Revival Tudor mansion, the secluded property with over six acres of land last sold for $7 million in 2004, records show. Twenty-one years later, it relisted this summer, revitalized with extensive renovations by Pennoyer. This includes restored red-clay masonry walls along the facade and “meticulous re-building” of the interiors, press materials state. New steel and Mahogany wood windows are used to replicate finishes throughout the latter, alongside sandstone columns and millwork.

Gated entry sits at the front of the pond-side estate with a receiving court, where the six-car garage sits next to the private entrance of a carriage house. A trio of tiered steps lead up to the expansive front patio where owners enter the main residence with a double-height foyer. Main living areas ranging from the dining room to family and living rooms are accessed off the space, where a spiral staircase trailing the three-story home makes its grand appearance, too.
Light blue trimmed walls and bay windows in the family room make quite the impression, while the living room’s airy oval-shaped design allows natural light to flood in through a wall of French windows. A patio with ample lounge space is also accessible from the latter with a set of doors that open into a wood paneled den featuring a stone fireplace. The kitchen anchored by an island opposite modern appliances is accessible on the other side of the floor, in addition to a breakfast room, the office/library, and a conference room.
