JetBlue will launch new routes to Florida and several popular Caribbean islands in time for winter, making a beach getaway to escape the cold a lot easier.

Starting in December, the airline will launch new flights to Florida’s Vero Beach for the first time as well as return service to Daytona Beach and launch new flights from Florida to the Dominican Republic, according to JetBlue. Best of all, the airline is celebrating its new routes with discounted fares starting at just $49.

“Whether it’s customers in the Northeast looking for a warm getaway or Floridians traveling north, we’re excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets,” Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, said in a statement, adding the airline is “proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State.”

Snowbirds looking to exchange the cold Northeast winter for the sunny beaches of Florida will have new options thanks JetBlue’s first foray into the Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) with daily, year-round service from both Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) starting Dec. 11. The airline will also plan to return to the Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) with daily, year-round flights from New York and Boston starting Dec. 4.

In addition, JetBlue will add service to both the Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers and the Tampa International Airport (TPA) from New York’s Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP). Those flights will start Dec. 18 and Dec. 19, respectively. These flights will compliment the carrier’s current service between Long Island and Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and West Palm Beach.

To celebrate, JetBlue is offering the new routes at low prices. Flights between Long Island and Tampa, for example, start at just $49 one-way.

Travelers looking to head even further south can take advantage of JetBlue’s new flights to the Dominican Republic. On Dec. 13, the airline will launch daily service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago de los Caballeros, followed by daily service between Tampa and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) on Dec. 18.

Beyond new flights, JetBlue is also planning on expanding service from Boston to Latin America and the Caribbean. The carrier will start offering daily flights on Dec. 18 to St. Thomas, Costa Rica’s Liberia, St. Maarten, and Nassau in the Bahamas. JetBlue will then add a second Saturday flight to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands on Dec. 20 along with an additional Saturday flight to Bridgetown, Barbados, starting Jan. 10, 2026.

JetBlue said the routes build on the carrier’s “strength as Boston’s premier leisure airline and offer more nonstop options to warm-weather destinations, meeting strong demand for international getaways.”

The news comes weeks after JetBlue linked loyalty programs with United Airlines. The collaboration, which the airlines called Blue Sky, will allow travelers to book award flights on each carrier.
