Brittany Cartwright is “single as a pringle,” and happily so. The Valley cast member declared this shortly after confirming her split from Brandon Hanson, a man she had met in Kentucky years before her Bravo days.
“I love being single,” Brittany said in a recent interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea. “I think I just really wanted to be in a relationship for a little bit. It was somebody that I had known for a long time, so I felt like it was good.”

Although Brittany previously described Brandon as “very wonderful and very cool,” she admitted the romance wasn’t ideal.
“The long distance and the pressure and everything, his obligations, it was just too much,” she continued.

While it’s no secret that Brittany has endured her fair share of relationship drama, she revealed that her latest split was unlike anything she’s ever experienced. Brittany said she was quite pleased by how she handled the Brandon situation, specifically her refusal to force the relationship.
“I’m glad that I feel OK,” she explained. “I’m just like, OK, that didn’t suit me, so I was able to move on. Younger Brittany would try to hold on and keep on, keep on, keep on, keep on. So I think it shows a lot of growth for me that I was, like, ‘OK, this isn’t working.'”

Brittany went public with Brandon more than a year after she called it quits with Jax Taylor, her estranged husband with whom she shares a 4-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. Brittany later revealed that Brandon was also a father who was navigating coparenting life, which played a big role in their bond. However, the Vanderpump Rules alum was quick to point out that she and Brandon were not an official item.
“We’re not technically boyfriend and girlfriend just yet,” she told TMZ back in September. “He’s a great person, great father, just all-around a good person. He’s making me happy. We’re just focused on having fun and doing our thing right now. I really like him.”

Fast-forward to the October 10 episode of her When Reality Hits podcast, when Brittany revealed she and Brandon were no more.
“We actually did not last,” she told listeners. “We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to. We still care a lot about each other. It ended amicably, but I just cannot do the long distance.”
While things with Brandon didn’t work out, Brittany insisted she was enjoying her single era as she approached the two-year mark of her marital split.
“I’ve been feeling that way for a while,” she told Virtual Reali-Tea. “I think people don’t realize in January — January the 24th (2026) — will be two years for me. So, I think a lot of people don’t realize how long I’ve been single. “
