Apex Global is expanding its digital procurement strategy through APECHEM, an online B2B sourcing platform.

It says it designed the sourcing platform to simplify chemical purchasing for companies operating across global supply chains, including the United States. Apex Global is a Hong Kong-based distributor of industrial and chemical raw materials.

It launched the APECHEM platform in 2018. APECHEM centralizes product search, pricing, logistics coordination and documentation into a single system. Apex Global said it intends for the platform to address persistent challenges in chemical procurement, including manual pricing negotiations, fragmented order tracking and limited visibility into cross-border costs.

How Apex Global is upgrading its digital sourcing

According to the company, APECHEM offers more than 1,300 chemical products, including solvents, pigments, resins and additives, serving industrial, pharmaceutical, agricultural and specialty chemical customers. The platform provides digital commercial quotes for listed products, reducing reliance on email-based workflows and broker negotiations.

Apex Global said the digital sourcing platform integrates freight costs, customs duties, taxes and local fees directly into pricing calculations. The company said this functionality is aimed at buyers importing materials into regulated markets such as the United States. In the U.S. and places like it, compliance requirements and logistics complexity can add time and cost to procurement.

The company also said APECHEM uses automation and artificial intelligence tools to manage internal processes. Those processes include logistics coordination, document management and supplier negotiations. In addition, Apex Global said the platform analyzes market data to monitor supply availability, demand trends and product developments, which it says can help customers plan sourcing decisions.

Founded in 2017, Apex Global operates as a manufacturer, exporter and distributor of fiberglass and industrial chemical raw materials. The launch of APECHEM marked the company’s move into digital chemical sourcing, a segment that has gained traction as distributors and manufacturers respond to supply-chain disruptions, rising compliance costs and increased demand from U.S. customers for faster, more transparent procurement.

Apex Global said it plans to continue expanding the product assortment available through the APECHEM platform.
