Although The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans know Kyle Richards loves to throw an epic celebration, when it comes to her daughter Alexia Umansky’s upcoming wedding, Kyle recently revealed the bride-to-be is taking charge of the planning.
In The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show video above, a producer asked the mom of four what kind of mother of the bride she’ll be when her first daughter to get married walks down the aisle. (Alexia and Jake Zingerman got engaged back in November 2024, to everyone’s delight.)
“I mean, I think I’m going to be a calm, cool, collected mother of the bride,” Kyle responded. “Alexia is very hands-on. She knows exactly what she wants. She is planning like crazy, and I’m just saying, ‘OK. Yes. Love it. Perfect.’ She’s like,’ What do you think about this wedding planner?’ I’m like, ‘Love it, great, done.’ She’s like, ‘What do you think about this date?’ ‘Great, done.’ So, she has a very clear vision of what she wants, and basically we just have to pay for it.”

Kyle shared that her daughter will get married on September 6, 2025, in Aspen, Colorado.

While she’s not involved in every detail of the wedding planning process, Kyle was very hands-on in the selection of her daughter’s engagement ring. “He had me help him through the process of picking out the ring,” she explained in a December 2024 interview with Parade. “And he was so cute, including me… I went with him to many different places to look and it was just so sweet that he included me in that whole process.”

The upcoming nuptials are exciting for the whole family — and according to Kyle, they’ve helped her and Mauricio Umansky stay positive throughout their ongoing separation.
“Mau and I have these conversations. Like, one day I got annoyed about something in Aspen and he’s like, ‘Listen, we have a lot of important dates coming up. We want to have good energy together,'” she explained in the video above. “And I was like, ‘OK, OK, you’re right.’”
