Affordable V-8 performance is becoming a rarity, but Dodge is still keeping it alive—just in the form of a three-row midsize SUV.

On Thursday, the automaker announced new pricing for its 2025 Durango lineup, with the V-8 range now starting at $51,590 for the Durango R/T. This model comes with a 5.7-liter V-8, delivering 360 hp to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

However, fans of the mid-range 6.4-liter V-8 will be disappointed—it’s no longer part of the lineup. That means the next step up in power is the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V-8, available in the Durango SRT Hellcat. This beast starts at $86,590 and includes standard all-wheel drive.

For those on a tighter budget, Dodge still offers the base Durango GT, which features a 3.6-liter V-6 making 360 hp with all-wheel drive. This model starts at $40,090.

All prices mentioned include a $1,595 destination charge.

While there are no major updates for 2025, Dodge has been rolling out a series of special editions to celebrate 20 years of the Hemi V-8 in the Durango. The GT’s available Plus Package has also been enhanced with more standard features, including a power sunroof, navigation, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, heated first and second rows (with venting for the first row), and a range of electronic driver-assist features. A 10.1-inch touchscreen has also been made standard on all 2025 Durangos.

Much bigger changes could be coming soon—a redesigned Durango is rumored to arrive during 2026, possibly based on Stellantis’ STLA Large platform for midsize vehicles. Whether it will still offer a V-8 remains an open question.
