Inflation has come for everything but sweet-handling sports cars with a throwback spirit. The 2025 Nissan Z will start at $44,110. That is, to the penny, the same price as the 2024 Nissan Z.
Nissan has had a rough year, but it’s not the Z’s fault. It may be the one perfect model in the automaker’s current lineup. Kelley Blue Book expert test driver Russ Heaps explains, “We made several passes through Tennessee’s Tail of the Dragon in a new Z with the 6-speed manual. Oh, momma: 400 horsepower, rear-wheel drive (RWD), and sufficient agility to make a gazelle (and a car reviewer) weep, the Z is a driver’s car, pure and simple.”
Styling inspired by the original 1969 model (sold in the U.S. as the Datsun 240Z), 400 horsepower in even its lowest trim, and a cabin with the feel of a fighter jet cockpit make it one of the most enjoyable cars you can buy in 2025.
Nissan won’t change much because they know they shouldn’t. For 2025, the Z gets back a historic color: Bayside Blue. Sadly, the Heritage Edition, with its nostalgic split grille, has not returned for 2025. But its short run made it special.
