Amid Teddi Mellencamp’s cancer battle, she’s leaning on her nearest and dearest for support — including her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum filed for divorce from Edwin in November 2024, just three months before sharing that she had multiple brain tumors (in March 2025, she also shared that the tumors had spread to her lungs as well). Though Edwin has been by Teddi’s side amid the latest in her melanoma journey, the two are not back together.
Teddi confirmed as much when she posted a series of videos of her returning to a workout class on her Instagram Stories on March 9. “So I did it, made it through my first Barry’s Bootcamp. I’m so grateful,” Teddi began. “I have to give one big shoutout to a person, Edwin.”
“There [are] not many ex-husbands or future ex-husbands, who are going to nurse you back to life, take you to workouts, help give you confidence, and help make sure you’re safe and doing well,” she continued about her estranged spouse, with whom she shares daughters Slate Arroyave and Dove Arroyave, and son, Cruz Arroyave. “And he has taken such excellent care of me. I am so grateful and every day I start to feel more like myself, and a huge part of that is because Edwin has been so kind and has taken such wonderful care of me. Thank you, Ed.”
The following day, Teddi shared that Edwin was taking her to another fitness class. This time around, their daughter joined them. “I am not allowed to drive, so ex has stepped up again to take us,” Teddi shared in an Instagram Story. “Barry’s Day 2 post surgeries and our bestie, [Slate Mellencamp] is joining us [Edwin Arroyave].”

As Edwin drove Teddi to her first immunotherapy appointment on March 11, she took to social media to share new details of why the two split up in the first place.
“All of you guys [who] keep messaging, ‘Why are you guys getting a divorce? I mean, other than the fact that he’s wearing this ridiculous sweater in the pouring rain, this video perfectly sums it up,” Teddi said, panning to Edwin’s gray cardigan before playing a clip from Entourage. In the video from the show, a married pair argues about taking work calls in the middle of a joint therapy session.
“Sometimes you gotta take some calls,” Edwin retorted.
“That was us,” Teddi said.
In a separate post, she joked, “[Edwin Arroyave] has turned into a pretty good divorce buddy. Such a douche lord at first, but when your ex-wife almost dies, he saw the light. I am funny. Not jealous, and good at helping him pick my replacement.”
