In 2024, Mercedes recalled about 32,000 vehicles to fix a fuse problem that could cause them to lose power. The company has since learned that some dealers may have inadvertently installed the wrong fuse box when repairing that issue.
That could cause a series of problems, including “loss of vehicle propulsion without warning, impairment of restraint functions, and of the instrument cluster, which could increase the risk of a crash and injuries,” Mercedes says. “In addition, a risk of fire cannot be ruled out.”
Dealers will fix it by replacing the fuse box.
