Polestar has recalled 3,664 Polestar 3 SUVs from model year 2025 because their rearview cameras may not produce an image.
The move is an expansion of an ongoing recall now covering more than 430,000 cars. Polestar was once a division of Volvo, and the two companies share many parts. Polestar has recalled its own Polestar 2 sedan over the camera problem. Volvo has recalled a substantial portion of its lineup over the same part.
Polestar tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a software issue can leave the screen unable to display the camera image.
The company will fix the issue with a software update. By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.
