Rexel USA is expanding its partnership with Parspec, a technology company that builds digital tools for the construction supply chain.

The next phase of their collaboration focuses on developing a centralized platform to improve how Rexel works with electrical contractors on project execution. Rexel USA is a distributor of electrical supplies and services. The new platform gives contractors access to project documents, order status, and key coordination tools in one place. It will support core project functions such as change order management, delivery scheduling, and field coordination.

The goal is to reduce the manual and often fragmented communication that currently characterizes many projects in the electrical construction space, Rexel says.

    Rexel USA and Parspec partnership

This initiative builds on a year-long internal deployment of Parspec’s software across Rexel’s regional operations. That earlier effort focused on improving internal workflows, particularly around quoting and submittal preparation, for more than 1,000 Rexel employees.

The companies report that this implementation led to:

    • 28% reduction in quote turnaround time
    • 52% reduction in the time required to prepare submittals
    • 7.5% increase in the number of project bids submitted

Encouraged by those results, Rexel and Parspec are now turning their attention to the customer-facing side of the business. The new platform aims to provide contractors with the same process, visibility, and efficiency improvements that Rexel teams have seen internally. By integrating documents, timelines, and communications into a single system, the companies hope to eliminate common bottlenecks and reduce delays tied to miscommunication or incomplete information, Rexel says.

Input from Rexel’s internal staff and contractor customers is helping to guide the platform’s design. A pilot version is currently being tested with selected users. The companies expect to make the platform more available by the end of 2025.

The expanded partnership is part of a broader push by Rexel to modernize its operations and support more streamlined interactions with customers. For Parspec, it represents a continued effort to digitize legacy processes in the construction supply chain using software built specifically for the sector.

Both companies see the project as a way to address inefficiencies that remain common in project-based construction work, particularly in the lighting and electrical segments where coordination between suppliers, contractors and field crews is critical to project delivery.
