The Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price for any individual used vehicle can vary greatly according to mileage, condition, location, and other factors. The prices here reflect what buyers are currently paying for used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC models in typical condition when purchasing from a dealership. These prices are updated weekly.

    Introduction

Not only is the GLC yet another success story for Mercedes-Benz, it’s also a highlight of the compact luxury SUV class. That’s because it contains many traits typical of the company — such as quality, refinement, tech, safety, and attention to detail. It even comes with a decent amount of standard equipment, including a self-parking feature. As well as the usual SUV body style, the GLC is also available as a sloped-roof Coupe version (it still has four doors). Regarding drivetrains, choices run from acceptable (in the entry-level GLC 300) to astonishing (the new-for-2022 AMG GLC 63 S).

The 2022 GLC is the final model year of this vehicle’s first generation. Changes include the introduction of the aforementioned ultra-powerful GLC AMG 63 S. At the same time, the standard equipment inventory expands to include adaptive high beams, parking damage detection, two rear USB ports, and a USB adapter cable. An intelligent LED lighting system becomes an individual option; the GLC 300’s optional Premium package gains hands-free access; the AMG GLC 43 receives a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. And Starling Blue Metallic is a new paint choice.

    KBB Review Highlights

This vehicle category has so many strong contenders, yet the GLC is among the strongest. When we first drove it, we were impressed by the high-class, spacious, well-thought-out interior and the serene and composed ride quality. A few years down the line, our feelings haven’t changed. Because it’s a compact luxury SUV, the GLC is easy to drive around town and slot into parking spaces, while giving off that prestigious Mercedes-Benz air. The clever part is that the interior is roomy enough to take four adults (plus one less fortunate person in that rear center seat) and sufficiently civilized for longer trips. We like that there’s plenty of storage space for phones, water bottles, sunglasses, etc. Cargo space is average for the class, but we still think that’s satisfactory.

There’s only one non-AMG engine, and this goes in the GLC 300. It’s a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit making 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission sends drive force to the rear wheels, or all four in the GLC 300 4Matic. This transmission is so refined that it hardly makes its presence felt; it works silently in the background.

Anyone with the urge for more urgency can check out the 385-hp AMG GLC 43 with its turbocharged V6. The company’s AMG division was also bold enough to fit a twin-turbocharged V8 in a compact luxury SUV. In the perfectly awesome GLC 63, it develops 469 hp. A mightier 503 hp in the GLC 63 S enables a breathtaking acceleration time of just 3.6 seconds from a standstill to 60 mph. Every GLC AMG variant has all-wheel drive (AWD).

    2022 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S

The bad old days of sparse German interiors requiring costly options are firmly in the GLC’s rearview mirror. The GLC 300 starts with simulated leather upholstery. We admit that might not sound promising, but we’ve found it attractive and durable. Among the other features are heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto phone integration, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a powered tailgate, and a self-parking function. Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and crosswind assistance. Of course, Mercedes-Benz still offers an array of tempting extras such as real leather, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, a head-up display, and augmented video for the navigation system.
