A federal judge in Boston has again pushed back the deadline for federal workers to accept the Trump administration’s “deferred resignation” offer, after hearing arguments that often focused on whether unions will face harm without an order pausing the program pending litigation.
On Monday, the U.S. Department of Justice told Judge George O’Toole Jr. that he shouldn’t issue an order keeping the program paused as the litigation unfolds because doing so would only hurt the unions challenging the program even more.
